The American League champion Toronto Blue Jays added to their bullpen, signing right-hander Tyler Rogers to a three-year, $37-million free-agent deal, per The Athletic.
Rogers, 34, had a 1.98 ERA last season in 81 appearances with both the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets. He was moved to the Mets at the trade deadline.
Rogers is the latest departure from a Mets bullpen that saw closer Edwin Diaz officially agree to a free-agent deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday.
In seven major league seasons, with all but 28 games with the Giants, the submarine-throwing Rogers is 26-23 with a 2.76 ERA and 19 saves in 420 relief appearances.
